Where do the exchange rates come from?
Converto uses daily reference rates published by the European Central Bank, delivered through the Frankfurter service.
How often are rates updated?
The European Central Bank publishes new reference rates once each working day, normally around 16:00 Central European Time. Rates do not change at weekends or on bank holidays.
Does Converto work without an internet connection?
Yes. The app keeps the last rates it downloaded and uses them offline. The screen shows the date of those rates so you know how current they are.
Why does my bank's rate differ from Converto?
Converto shows mid-market reference rates. Banks, card providers and exchange bureaux add their own margin and fees, so the rate you pay will usually be slightly different. Converto is for guidance only and should not be used for trading.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. Converto does not collect any personal data. See our privacy policy.
How do I report a bug?
Email us with your device model, operating system version and a short description of what happened. A screenshot helps.
